Overview

While Hustle Got Real is a newer dropshipping software with less experience than some more established alternatives, it seems to have taken the best features of and crafted a superior product, mostly suitable for eBay sellers. It’s by far the best software for dropshipping on eBay with low pricing and scalability.

HGR is an online arbitrage drop shipping software. It primarily allows drop shipping from multiple suppliers to a couple of channel options, namely eBay and, or Shopify.

Features

HGR seem to have the first part of the online arbitrage drop shipping process covered. And for the most part it is pretty robust and works well. So, talking of working well, lets go through exactly what does. Sourcing and listing is somewhat manual. Sourcing specifically will require your own techniques, or a dedicated sourcing software (i.e. Zik Analytics). Once you’ve found a winning item, or a page, or category of winning items, then you can list a single item by copying and pasting the URL from the online store to HGR, then it is a simple process of importing the item to your marketplace inventory listings, i.e. your eBay store.

To list in bulk you need to paste a list of URLs into the bulk listing screen. Where other competitors provide chrome extensions in order to achieve this, HGR seems to have omitted this option, so you still need to go into each individual product individually, to copy and paste the URL from say Amazon to HGR. This makes it cumbersome, so an easier way is to use one of the said competitors extensions, and scrape pages or categories of products from there, into HGR.

I’ll not go into single vs bulk, I’ll post another topic on the pros and cons, but bulk is a necessity for those particularly looking at the numbers game. I have certainly followed that premise during my time making money with online arbitrage drop shipping.

One caveat I will mention here, and by far the biggest problem I did have with HGR was its VERO checking, or should I say lack of it. To be fair, HGR technical support is very responsive and very helpful. However, I did appear to be able to get a number of items bulk listed onto eBay, with popular branded names that should have raised a huge red flag, and go nowhere near my eBay store. As said, support helped remove these promptly, and did say it seemed to be an issue with my account, as other users had not experienced or reported this issue. So, just make sure you double check when listing single items, or specifically a batch, initially to make sure you’re confident. That said, your experience may well vary, and it would be good to know in the comments if so, if nothing else, to reassure others.

Price and stock monitoring were on a par with other software I’ve used, if not better. The jury is still out as I’ve experienced many issues with many of the “top” providers during lock down. I’m currently giving them the benefit of the doubt, and plan to revisit them all prior to posting reviews, but HGR has been second to none, although we are coming out of the other side as far as I’m concerned. No complaints here though.

And that is your lot with HGR. Not record of orders or shipment tracking. Listings is literally as far as it gets. You’re left to your own devices after that. You can then use eBay to monitor sales, and manually place those orders with Amazon, or your supplier of choice, or you can utilise an auto ordering and tracking system. At this point I fully recommend The VA Ninja, recently acquired by HGR. I’ve used VA Ninja for some time and it has been superb, and is not reliant on HGR, but it is good to know that both pieces of software are covered by the same development house. The most you will pay is $0.13 per order including auto ordering and auto tracking via Velocipacker, including updates to eBay. Yes, I said 13 cents. The only restriction is that it only works with eBay and Smyths at the moment, but HGR have promised more soon….. but how soon is the million dollar question. Still if you’re only after eBay auto ordering then I can vouch for it fully, and I used it way before it was acquired. It is by far the quickest and cheapest AO and AT solution I’ve come across. Let me know if I’m wrong. Keep an eye our for an independent review.

Value for Money

HGR is not the cheapest, but having said that you can start off very cheaply with 300 monitored items for only £19 per month. You can make plenty of sales on that volume, but I’d recommend more research to source top selling or winning items. Then the increments are small and numerous, so you can expand as and when you’re happy. Definitely as take it slowly, than a big bang approach is recommended.

However, the alternative approach is to pay as much as you can afford each month, and pile a shed load of items into your store, refining best sellers and new lines, and removing non or low selling items as you go.

Plans include but not limited to, £59 pm for 1000 listings, £119 pm for 2000 listings, £169 pm for 3000 listings. If you’re in it for the long term, and can afford the initial outlay, there are some great discounts for paying 6 months (20% discount) upfront, or 12 months (40% discount) upfront. Lovely.

Add VA Ninja, only paying per order and tracking, then you really have got a beginner friendly introduction to Amazon to eBay drop shipping. My recommendation is wholeheartedly give it a try, as you ain’t got much to lose.
