#3 – SEMrush. You can use SEMrush free or pay for 3-month and 6-month premium accounts together for $239 USD and $489 USD respectively. With SEMrush you can check the competitiveness of any keyword to find out which ones are profitable and which ones are not. You can also use our semrush group buy account for just $10 per month to save your money budget
#4 – Keyword Tool Spy. This tool searches Google AdWords for keywords you enter in your target keyword field. It will show you a list of related keywords and phrases, even the ones that aren't used that often in search engine results.
#5 - Ahrefs. Ahrefs allows you to do many types of analysis but one that I'm specifically interested in here is the information that you can glean from their keyword explorer tool which provides a very detailed overview on a given domain or word (niche keywords) as well as its respective search volume. So how do I use these?

How to find good keywords?
To find good keywords for your SEO projects there are 2 methods: top down or bottom up approach.
You can choose to focus on one or the other.
Top down approach
You can start with a category and then get more specific to find good keywords for each subcategory. For example, if you're writing about technology, you could start with "technology" as your main keyword and then expand it:
Internet technology (diving deeper)
Computer technology (diving even deeper)
Hardware technology (getting even more specific)
Computers and peripherals (bottom level)
Peripherals equipment (top level of this category)
Peripherals for business computers (diving deeper into this subcategory if it is relevant to your post topic).
You can also find keywords by looking for synonyms. A lot of good keywords are related to the topic in some way. For example, "software" is a very popular keyword. If you write about computers and software, then you might want to find other synonyms (short forms) for "software":
pc software (also known as pc os or operating system)
software for business computers (also known as business software)
Search engine optimization software (also known as SEO)
The keywords above are all popular because they have something in common – they relate to computers or computer applications.
You can also refine your search by only considering specific words. For example, if you're writing about computers, then you might want to consider keywords that are related to the topics you're interested in.
Using synonyms and only considering certain words might bring back a lot of irrelevant posts, but it's an effective way to find key terms of interest to your blog.
I recommend starting with one of the two methods above and then adapting the process as appropriate for your specific topic area.
Advanced niche keyword searches
It can be helpful to search for more keywords than I mentioned before – specifically, long-tail keywords or those that don't fit into either of the categories mentioned earlier.
If you search for a keyword like “online marketing,” you'll find a lot of results that have nothing to do with your blog. However, if you search for “online marketing statistics,” then you'll get a narrower set of results that's more relevant to your blog.
Also, searching for keywords like inurl: and intitle: can find specific information on different topics related to your interests. For example, if you're interested in researching the ins and outs of internet marketing or how to use social networking websites, then the following searches might help narrow down the topics that are most interesting to you.
These search terms might not be as popular as general terms like “online marketing” or “Internet connectivity,” but they can still be important to you and your readers. They have a narrow focus that allows you to target specific audiences – especially if you use them in advertising, where you can further narrow your audience.
How do I find hot keywords?
You want keywords that are active and relevant to your niche. There are tools out there that can help you find the best keywords for your blog posts, site copy or advertising campaigns.
Hotkeywords.com is a free tool that lets you search for keywords using a variety of different tools to create a list you can use for research purposes. The tool is powered by Google Suggest and DuckDuckGo, so the results are a little erratic, but it's still useful.

KeywordDiscovery.com is another free SEO and keyword tool that helps you discover new search terms for your blog posts or ads. They also have some free tracking tools for keyword research.
To use this tool, first input “The URL” (the link of your blog post or ad) into the search field. Then click the column titled “Keywords” to find the keywords that people are using when they search for your website or product. You can see around 80 keywords with a high number of searches in the search results you'll see on this page:
KeywordDiscovery.com is less accurate than Hotkeywords.com, but it's still a useful tool if you're just starting out with online marketing.
I recommend using both Hotkeywords.com and KeywordDiscovery.com to create a list of keywords you can use for your projects.
How to measure the success of keyword research?
After you've used a keyword research tool, go to SEMrush and type in your topic or keyword. You'll get some useful results like this:

Now we're getting to the core of keyword research. The goal of this part is to find out how many searches are done daily for each of your chosen topics or keywords. This will help you determine where a specific key term is in relation to its popularity, how popular it is and its potential viability as an SEO asset.
For instance, the top search term in the SEMrush results above: “social media marketing” gets around 18k monthly searches. This means it's a very popular keyword that people are searching for. However, there are millions of searches done every month for this term.
Just remember that key terms like “social media marketing” get a ton of search results because the topic is very popular and it's a pretty vague topic, meaning there are a lot of websites about social media marketing.
The number of searches for the same keyword might vary greatly depending on the number of searches done for it around the world, so always take these numbers with a grain of salt.
Keyword difficulty rating
You can find out how hard or easy your target keywords are to rank by using KeyWerx and SEMrush.
KeyWerx will give you a “keyword difficulty rating” (KDR) for your chosen topic. In the example above, the keyword is rated at 1. It means it has low competition and is not very competitive to rank for. If your niche is very popular or if you have an established brand, then its keywords might have a low KDR.
SEMrush also has a KDR tool. The lower the number, the more competitive your keyword is to rank for it. If you have little or no budget to invest in SEO campaigns, then keywords with higher KDR are better choices than keywords with lower KDR.
Google Keyword Planner
To find out how many searches are done daily for your keyword, Google Keyword Planner is a good tool to use:

To get a list of keywords that's relevant to your topic, you'll have to resort to Google's AdWords tool. However, I don't recommend doing this right away.
The keyword planner tool above will give you more accurate results than using Google AdWords. The reason why I say this is because the keyword planner tool uses data from Google Trends, which is a lot more accurate than what you'll get with AdSense or other PPC marketing tools.
Using the keyword planner tool can be useful if you're looking for long-tail search terms related to your niche or if you want to measure the performance of PPC ads with low budgets.
You can also use advertising platforms like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn if you want to reach more people who are interested in your niche. However, these platforms are focused on general niches and not specific ones.
To get good results from Facebook advertising, it's best to run a small ad campaign that targets the demographic you're interested in. In addition to this, you can also target users based on their interests and website content. This will help make your ads more effective with a small budget.
