Ubersuggest is by far the very best free keyword analysis tool on the market. There is no discussion about that.
It is the tool that I recommend to entrepreneurs to use when they do not want to pay for the software. (An advanced tool of Ubersuggest is KWfinder, which you can purchase cheap KWfinder group buy account here)
Because every entrepreneur, marketer and freelancer should know Ubersuggest and know what you can do with it (especially what you cannot do with it), I think it is time for an Ubersuggest review.
What is Ubersuggest?
Ubersuggest is a Neil Patel website that you can use for free to find keywords, receive new suggestions and discover keywords of your competitors.
You can determine this per country and per domain yourself! In addition to retrieving keywords, Ubersuggest has expanded considerably in recent years, and several tools have been added.
And I would like to tell you more about that!
How and for what do you / do I use Ubersuggest?
Before I tell you what I use Ubersuggest for, I first want to show you what you can do with it and which functionalities are available in Ubersuggest.
When you have entered a keyword, you will see four major overarching topics in the menu on the left:
- Menu
- Ubersuggest
- Traffic analysis
- SEO Analysis
Menu
Here you will find your dashboard. Here you will find all the information that Ubersuggest keeps for you when you have created an account.
But more on that later.
Ubersuggest
Within the Ubersuggest heading, there are three parts:
- Overview (an overview of the information related to the keyword or domain you have entered): here, you will mainly spend your time.
- Keyword ideas: when you have entered a keyword, you can find relevant and related keywords here. This is one of the most powerful parts of Ubersuggest and very useful for coming up with blog topics.
- Content ideas: here, you will see content that is written based on your entered keyword.
Traffic
analysis This is one of the newest functionalities of Ubersuggest. You can enter a domain here to find out all kinds of important information about your competitors
- Overview: Here, you will find organic search terms, expected organic traffic, domain score, backlinks and other important information from your competitor (Or your own website if you have entered one
- Top pages: here, you will find the top scoring pages of the completed domain.
- Keywords: here, you will find the keywords used for the domain you entered.
SEO analysis
Within SEO analysis, it is actually very logical what you can do: analyze your SEO.
This is now also divided into two parts:
- Site audit: a technical check of your website that indicates what you are doing well or not well in the field of search engine optimization.
- Backlinks: an overview of the links, the domain score, number of referring domains and other important link building information.
As you can see, Ubersuggest is packed with valuable tools, and you don't even have to pay for them. I also use software that offers functionalities that Ubersuggest also has, but for a lot of money.
Now that it's clear what you can use Ubersuggest for let's move on to the pros and cons.
Advantages and disadvantages of Ubersuggest at a glance
As you are used to from me, I like to start with the benefits:
- Ubersuggest is completely free to use
- Many new functionalities have been added in recent years, and Ubersuggest is increasingly becoming an all-in-one SEO tool.
- Ubersuggest works very quickly.
- You can get a lot of suggestions per keyword (look at the image below)
There are more advantages, but this is the most important to me. Quickly to the cons:
- The fact that Ubersuggest is free is also a disadvantage for me. Do we pay with our data?
- I've known Neil Patel longer. In the past, he also offered products for free before and then adjusted the revenue model so that you suddenly had to pay for it while you were used to it. Smart, but annoying.
Within Ubersuggest, you can even keep track of your positions in Google, receive more keyword suggestions and personalized SEO suggestions.
You need to create an account for this, so you also pay with your data ...
… I think ;).
Ubersuggest competitors and alternatives
If we compare Ubersuggest with free alternatives, not all can do what Ubersuggest can do.
And if they can do apart, they probably can only do so to a limited extent. For that reason, there is actually no real competitor on the market.
There are, of course, paid competitors like KWFinder, but comparing them is not fair.
If you are still looking for alternatives to Ubersuggest, I advise you to look at the following tools:
- KWFinder
- Keywordtool.io
- SEMrush
- Ahrefs
- Raven Tools
- Long Tail Pro
- SERanking
- ProRankTracker
Other features of Ubersuggest
Ubersuggest has become much more than a keyword retrieval tool. It's more of a platform.
Because you can recently place your competitor's website in Ubersuggest, it is also an excellent tool to find out keywords of your competitors.
The backlink function and SEO analysis that I mentioned at the beginning of this review, Neil Patel, has also been marketed as standalone software. Even though they fall under Ubersuggest, you can also see them separately from the keyword analysis option.
Besides Ubersuggest, Neil Patel has also set up an AB testing calculator. This allows you to determine which variation in your AB test was the most successful.
Conclusion
Ubersuggest is fantastic. Sure I would like to see additions, and of course, other paid tools are better in some areas.
But knowing that you don't pay anything for Ubersuggest and that Ubersuggest sometimes has more functions than paid competitors, I can't do anything else to close this Ubersuggest review by giving a big 10.
Purely because it is a real addition for all starting entrepreneurs as well as for seasoned marketers.
