Kajabi Pro Reviews

The e-learning industry is booming. The global e-learning market is expected to reach $325 billion by 2025, and online courses made $46 billion last year alone. People are more hungry to learn than ever before, especially when information is abundant at their fingertips.

One of the newest additions to knowledge commerce is Kajabi and promises to offer everything infopreneurs will need to create, market and sell their products under one roof.

It’s been dubbed the best online course platform, and people are raving about its marketing features. If you’re looking to learn more about what’s behind the curtain and how to use Kajabi, read on. We set out to investigate the hype, and if it really lives up to it?

What is Kajabi Affiliate?

Kajabi is one of the best platforms for building and running your online course or membership site business, and it is used by thousands of creators including some big names like Amy Porterfield and Brendan Burchard.

It allows you to host your online programs and deliver them to your students in a professional manner. Moreover, you can build a fully-fledged website, run a blog, create marketing funnels, and even automate your email marketing.

On the other hand, if you were to use a "typical" online course platform, you’ll need tools like WordPress to run your blog, ClickFunnels to create funnels and landing pages, ConvertKit to manage your email marketing etc.

So, the idea behind Kajabi is to let you build and run your entire online course business from a single platform, so that you don't need to hack together or learn to use several different plugins or services.

The Key Features of Kajabi Pro

The biggest benefit of Kajabi is the sheer range and quality of it’s many features. No matter what you are looking for, it is likely that it is offered by Kajabi. Let’s dive in and take a closer look at all the features of this platform:

Kajabi User Interface

This is where you will be spending most of your time as a course creator and online course business owner. Thus, it is imperative that it easy to navigate.

The user interface is very intuitive and easy to use as it comes in the form of a nicely designed dashboard.

Everything is well organized, with 4 main sections you can access from the left side menu or you can use the search bar at the top at any time to quickly jump to whatever you need.

It’s easy to navigate between different features of the platform, and if you get stuck at any point you can just use the live chat support for help.

If you’ve used WordPress before, you will have no problem using Kajabi and you won’t have to worry about updating plugins either!

Kajabi Themes and Editing

Kajabi comes pre-loaded with 11 different themes to make your own site and courses.

They are all beautifully designed and compared to any other online course platform they are light years ahead in helping you create a visually appealing online course website.

Obviously compared to the full functionality of WordPress it’s not as easy to adjust them and make them look exactly as you want, but you can change images, text, colours, and move different elements around to get it to at least 90% of how most people would like (and there’s no messing about with code!). So while it may not be quite fully customizable, it’s about as close as you can get without having to worry about many of the headaches that come with coding and web development.

Additionally, Kajabi comes pre-loaded with around 70 selected fonts, and you can use the colour picker to incorporate the colour palette of your own brand, which is another helpful feature to help you create a unique brand.

It goes without saying that you can preview your site in both desktop and mobile to allow you to make adjustments for one or both. Your site needs to look good for all users, or you risk losing precious customers.

All the pre-loaded themes are mobile responsive, so once again, there is no need to override that with CSS or HTML.

Overall, the design features offered by Kajabi are unparalleled when compared to the other platforms available. It truly offers you the product creation tools to offer your product exactly as you like.

Kajabi Opt-In Form

All the themes come with opt-in forms, so once again you don’t have to rely on your coding skills.

These forms are very easy to set up, incorporate into email marketing platforms and add onto your website.

Kajabi Hosting, Site, Blogging

Your account comes with a fully hosted site, that includes dynamic website templates that can be installed with a single click. With their easy drag and drop editor, you can pick and choose elements from different templates to make the site your own. All templates are media-friendly, and no code or IT knowledge is required to build your website. The platform is also built to handle any amount of traffic, with a built-in auto-scaling feature. There’s also a built-in blogging feature directly on your site. You can upload any media and is already SEO optimized.

Kajabi Memberships, quizzes, and assignments

Kajabi truly understands the importance of customer experience. Users can create membership sites where educators can grow their audience and deliver excellent service.

They also make it easy for educators to assign homework and test their students, with assignment-orientated lessons. You can require students to complete assignments to advance to the next lesson, grade their work, and keep an eye on their progress in one place.

You can also add tags to your student’s assignments to better segment your audience, and then use that data to improve your marketing and course content.

Kajabi Integrations

It is good to know that Kajabi supports integrations with most big name email marketing services such as MailChimp, Aweber, Drip, ConvertKit, and Active Campaign.

You can also connect it to Google Analytics and add Facebook Ad tracking pixels, or connect to your accounting software. This can be very helpful in creating marketing funnels to monitor success in various aspects of your website, or monitoring and optimizing success with your ad campaigns.

Amongst a total of 500 possible intergations available to you, chances are that if you want to integrate a piece of software you already use, it’s possible with Kajabi!

Kajabi Landing Pages

Included in Kajabi is a rather powerful landing page builder which comes with 24 pre-defined templates.

You can build a page from scratch, as with any other page in Kajabi.

You can also add multiple options such as sales pages, webinar registrations and opt-ins. Customization is vital in ensuring that your course offers what you want, your way. It can also help separate you from your competition with product creation that is truly unique.

Kajabi Pipelines

This is yet another useful tool that comes integrated in Kajabi, used to create marketing funnels with a complete workflow for your products.

This comes in handy when you want to sell eBooks, for example.

The process is visual and automated, and you are guided through the building of a marketing funnel. Just drag and drop and build your workflow.

No one else offers a process so simple, yet so effective. Marketers find these funnels very valuable, as they allow you to isolate success to certain areas of your site, and see which areas are performing the way you want them to. From there, you can further optimize each area to ensure that your online business is converting to the best of its ability.

Kajabi Email Marketing

Kajabi has none of the clever features that you would want with the top names in email marketing service, such as Convertkit.

But it is still loaded with most basic functionalities to get the job done.

There are no advanced features, but it’s nice to know that it supports broadcast emails, opt-in forms and auto-responders.

It is also easy to create follow-up campaigns, as the interface is once again easy to use and navigate.

Unfortunately, you will have to make do without tagging and segmentation options.

So while Kajabi does offer you the tools you need to get the job done, if you are very serious about creating and optimizing e-mail marketing campaigns, Kajabi might not be quite what you are looking for.

Who is Kajabi For?

Kajabi is best for:

  • Entrepreneurs who have an audience and want to offer them premium courses, a membership platform, or events
  • Entrepreneurs who want detailed analytics
  • Those who want many of their sales conversion processes in one place
  • Those who are already earning enough revenue in their businesses to sustain the expense of Kajabi until they get enough sales to cover the cost
  • Those who have enough money saved to invest in their business (from alternative funding sources) to withstand the cost of Kajabi for at least 12 months (to give time to stabilize a flow of customers and sales)
  • Those who are looking for an alternative to other software options like Clickfunnels or Kartra

Pros of Kajabi

  • Built in email marketing tools so there’s no need to integrate a 3rd party email provider.
  • Built in sales funnel software (aka The Sales Pipeline Builder) that lets you create several types of marketing funnels to drive customer sales.
  • Marketing automations that allow you to trigger emails or course offers based on things like course completion or inactivity.
  • Ability to customize. You can match the look and feel of your business or website.
  • You are able to choose from a large set of professionally designed, customizable themes.
  • Custom domain. While Kajabi will host your course, you can set the domain to make it appear as part of your website.
  • You can engage with your students through a built in Community platform (similar to a forum).  You can also offer this as an upsell and even charge for it.
  • You can offer students payment options like a monthly payment plan for more expensive courses.
  • You can offer a monthly recurring subscription for ongoing access to a course in a membership model.
  • The Kajabi marketplace offers a way for users to discover your course organically.

Cons of Kajabi

There is no free option and prices are slightly higher than other platforms (I’ll assess whether the cost is justifiable in the next section).

  • You need to use a 3rd party platform (Accredible) to offer completion certificates.
  • The Kajabi course marketplace is small and does not have search functions for students (only a category filter).

Let see reviews from member who used Kajabi Pro

  • Steps I took in the beginning, was I kept my cubicle job and worked relentlessly with my partner on Kajabi. I first reached out to influencers in my space to see if the app would work and when we saw that it made them money, I knew it would be successful. It took me almost a year to write the book. Because I hate writing, I went through a long process with a scriber and then an editor and then my wife helped me organize my sections so it flowed better. I worked with a company called Scribe Media and they are awesome, if you are looking to write a book. They made the process easy.
  • My passion and reason for building Kajabi was to help real people become Entrepreneurs. I've spent the last 8 years helping real people, and my book is filled with stories of these people who went from nothing to something. I actually discourage people from signing up if they aren't ready.
  • I used apps like twitter to meet influencers. Then I helped them with branding and their existing websites. Once Kajabi was built, we gave them free access to Kajabi, along with white glove service. This helped build the initial interest which launched our company.
  • I heard Kajabi is good, but it's not free. You get what you pay for though. It's a better platform if you're serious about going the course-building route for income.
  • I was mentored by somebody who created a course and hosted it on their own site. Is was a slow runway then after a lot of content was out there for all to see it took off explosively. I have since split and am in the process of creating my own course and community for a different industry. After a lot of research I’ve chosen to use Kajabi to host the course. They’ve also recently launched their own marketplace like Udemy so that’s just some upside.
  • I saw you mentioned being invested in Kajabi, but if that doesn't mean monetarily I'd highly suggest Squarespace. I use it for my personal site and it's really easy to use and the customer service is one of the best I've ever had. I'll tap my resources and send them here/your way though.
  • Both Kajabi and Teachable offer charging monthly subscription. Now Teachable is a bit cheaper (from $29 to $79 per month), while Kajabi is $149. However, Kajabi I think offers some email marketing too and other cool stuff. As for the showcasing of the programs, both Teachable and Kajabi offer "Marketplace" option

The Bottom Line

The real sweet spot for Kajabi, in my opinion, is solo experts – speakers, consultants, coaches, authors – who want a great looking Web site to market courses and other products that are based on their expertise.

If you want to convert your expertise into a business rapidly, look like a real pro, and know you’ve got the tools to help you market and sell effectively, Kajabi should definitely be one of the main platforms you consider.

Of course, I still recommend that you do the work to figure out your specific needs and priorities before making a platform decision. For doing that, I recommend downloading my free Course Platform Selection Guide – to understand your needs and make your own decision.
